Peace on Earth
I know that when I turn to the pages of the newspaper on Christmas day there will be a story about a homicide in New York; a robbery gone bad; maybe a hit-and-run killing. But maybe for just one day the people of the earth could stop killing each other in the name of God and Country.
History will prove this to be a hopelessly naive wish, but perhaps with all the praying that's going on a miracle will happen. After all, as far as I know, we all began in the same way, and most probably will end up the same way.
