Central Park, 59th Street

Central Park, 59th Street

I haven't done any color printing at all with the 4800. Don't really like color photographs. So I whipped this up as a test. If I could paint - I'd probably do this sort of thing. I used to do a little with watercolors that were along these lines.

I got my taxes done so now - it's time to soup the cow pictures.

Oh - and my God - are you following the Mets? How great are they? I pray to the baseball God that no one gets hurt.

I started this last night and finished it today. I don't seem to be able to appreciate color photographs - but if I can place colors where I want them - i.e. painting - then I enjoy the results. This started as a color digital shot at night. I did a "find edges" then distorted them with the "liquify" command - and then went to town by painting in colors.

It is very photoshopped, i.e. there are about 15 layers with masks, graduated fills, smoothing techniques, bits and pieces drawn in, etc.

I wonder why I have so much trouble dealing with "realistic" color photographs?

Dave - this image of yours is brilliant!

I'm with Lester (comment #1) - this definitely belongs in someone's Park Ave. condo and thousands of $$$ belong in your bank account.

Lester comment #2 - good one! you had me going ;-)
