Union Square, People
Sprial, Union Square

A couple of tech notes: this film really wants to curl. I never had such a curly film to deal with. Almost everything was shot at f11, 1/100 sec with the red filter (I think its Wratten 25). Exposures were made with my handheld sekonic digital meter. The film was processed in Ilfotec dd-x just as if it were Tri-X.

IR is all about the foliage. A trip to Wave Hill may be in order...Good work!
I think the weirdest ones are the ones with people in the sun. That first wide shot of Union Square looks like aliens have landed. The really bright guy was wearing red - I remember that.
I went out today and shot one more roll - this time in Central Park. I was curious to see what I could do with that damned Alice in Wonderland set piece. I sort of hope that with all the glare off the metal I get some interesting flare outs.
I have to be careful with this IR stuff because I generally go out with one camera (lazy?) and I tend to go back to my old shooting styles with people even though I don't know what they're going to look like. Also - in case anyone wonders - the 35mm version is grainy. Though in pictorial shots, I doubt it matters.
I will go eventually for a used M6 classic (if that's what they're called). Oh - one more thing - I'll be at the Anti-War rally tomorrow and I will be loaded with Tri-x.
I'm with Barrett - "Spiral, Union Square" is superb.
