Black and white Photography of New York by Dave Beckerman
I really like this one, Dave! It's a beautiful composition- the way the larger horizonal area at left is balanced by the smaller vertical region (doorway) at right is very cool. Also, to my Western eyes, the Chinese calligraphy and the hanging chickens and ducks (?) add a touch of the exotic You also caught the gentleman reading the paper just right- the curve of his back, angle of his hand and the paper- excellent. You've combined an evocative piece of street photography with a very fine-art sort of composition.
Thanks Steve. That's pretty much what I like about it as well. I esp. like the white uniform against the pitch black hallway.
