John Lennon

Should I go out to the John Lennon thing tomorrow at Strawberry Fields. Starts so late: 10:52 p.m. or something like that (time he was killed). Is it going to be snowing? I'm getting lazy. Plus there's some talk that the park authorities are going to close the park at one a.m. and the fans may want to stay longer. Guess I'll play it by ear. Or play it by fatigue factor. This has been a long couple of weeks. If I go - than it'll be Tri-x in Microphen at 1600 all the way.

I remember that day back in '80 all too well, and I felt that world would never be good again ( I was fuckin crushed!)

When Lennon was shot - my first reaction was anger. It effected me more than when the various political figures of the 60's were killed. Much more painful.

I remember Isaac - but at first didn't remember the - was it Tracy Towers. Then all of a sudden I had a vision of your old apartment in the towers.

Don't know if I ever mentioned it to you but I was hired a while back to do photographs for a book 'bout Lennon. The author is still trying to get it published and that saga continues; but that was one of the reasons I was thinking of doing the Lennon thing this year - but it was too cold and I was beat.
