Since things are starting to hop around here and I can't talk about any of it - I decided to give my alter ego Tex a chance to have some blog time. Tex - are you around?
Sure am pardner.
Dang. They finally made ENGLISH our official language. That's fine as cream gravey.
First time ah strolled into Starbucks - those flannel-mouths jest got my dander up when they started yammering about Vente something 'er other. Hey sidewinder, ah just want a heap o' coffee.
Ah'd take out some of them French words too: such as quoi-sant??? I can't pronounce it. Give it an English name such as crescent. Ah got a beauty of a crescent wrench, why do I have to call it a croissant? This is plumb local.
Ah'd rename the danged states 'n cities too. Dang it. Los Ang-o-les? Ah'd jest as well call it Angel City and be done with it.
Ah'd test those pesky Brits who claim to speak good English. Ah can't understand a dang blame thing they say.
Speak Amurican!! Dang it. Speak Amurcan - like me. And if you don't like it: hobble yer lip.

I feel honoured; when I was in the US all I got was, "Sir, you have a great accent". Then they asked my American girlfriend to translate.
Thanks, Craig. When I switched the cart to PayPal I redid the structure so that only prints for sale would be in the galleries; and futzed with the home page for the millionth time.
I could say Go Mets - but after last night's win - I count my blessings. It's one of those games that on paper should be great - two best pitchers of each team head to head.
I admit, that I get a big kick out of seeing the Big Unit (last night) cut down to size. But there is something awful about it as well. Deposing of kings.
For me, baseball is something of a microcosm, if that's the right w. for life. Yes, a tremendous amount of skill but fate - what seems like luck or unluck has a lot to do with it. Injuries at a team level (seems like the modern athelete is constantly pulling something or other); a ball hitting the ball boys towel (last night it didn't matter); how the wind is blowing; the fact that you play both offense and defense; and other factors.
I'll be honest and say that I enjoy watching both teams. Last night I watched the game with the Yankee announcers who I think are much better than the Mets announcers. I miss Ralph Kiner and Nelson. Kiner still shows up for a couple of innings once in a while and still blows away the current crop of play by play guys.
Let me see if I can find that hat I had that had the Mets on one half and the Yanks on the other.
